About a week before COVID emerged in Wuhan, I was inspired to go down to Chinatown in New York where the Lunar New Year was being celebrated. There, I was moved to take photos of all the celebratory gunk strewn all over the pavement. I've always worried that I had prophetic abilities which I've been nudged to express in my art.
