"Rising Tide" is a 9 panel piece incorporating high polished stainless steel and painting. The subtle curve of the pattern stems from a graph of projected sea level rise and ocean floor compression/sinking from 2020-2100. In this piece the polished section represents the water, the light matte blue represents sky, and the ivory shiny enamel is the sea floor. The piece is meant to be minimal and elegant, yet still bring attention to climate change. All elements of these panels are worked by hand.
