Memory I., Urban series
80x40 cm, 15.7x31,5 in
acrylic and gold and silver pigment on canvas, artificial grass
"Memory", (Urban series) is inspired by recent facts and studies of global electrical pollution, e-waste and attempts to green the IT with new technologies, recycling possibilities of e-waste globally. This artwork depicts an old cellphone, an e-waste that remained intact in nature for many years and whose remaining parts became an art object, similar to an old graffiti on a crusty, corrugated wall -- exactly like an old "Memory".
Urban paintings were inspired by my recent studies and own experiences surrounding the undiscovered links between the human mind and quantum physics, ungrasped consciousness and illusions, coincidences and synchronicities.
Urban series is depicting the multicolor vibration of metropolises with humor and a bit of sarcasm, personal responses for happenings of urban society, local themes connected to Hungarian, European, American culture, Budapest, Paris, New York. New artworks are about the huge control by mass media, the intense urban-, global-, electrical-, chemical pollution, and also reflecting the new and fashionable trends in urban society.
