Of the five paintings showcased here, the last two ("The Melting Ice Caps" and "The Melting Arctic") are about the effect that climate change is having on the ice in the Arctic, as the titles of the paintings suggest. The first three ("The Soon to Be Extinct", "Last Creatures Get Together Before a Wave of Extinction Swallows Them All", and "The Bird that Ruled the World of the Dying Species" are myth-like explorations of the theme of the sixth mass extinction that is underway now. Hundreds of species are dying out without our noticing, or realizing, that we are the cause of their extinction.
