Carnival/ Farewell
description
The performance “Carnival/ Farewell” is about the contradictive relationship between humans and nature. Living as humans, we survive because of taking from the earth. We use it, build it and develop it as we need. We “ask” the environment to do more than it can take. We seem to live with nature equally but do we? When it reaches the maximum capacity, will it crash? Will we have the chance to recover it? By choosing the first and third forms in Symphony No. 6 by Ludwig van Beethoven, I utilized the music and videos to make the disharmony. I want people to see more about our behaviors and to think about how tight they are with nature. What we do impacts everyone, everything around directly or indirectly.
