Biography

The artist/sister collaboration combines the strengths of Dana Kleinman, born 1974 (Boston) and Ruth Avra Kleinman born 1979 (Washington DC). The work was swiftly put into the public eye with an invitation to represent the United States at the 2008 Beijing Biennale at the National Museum of China, running in conjunction with the Summer Olympics. Since 2007, their work has been featured in numerous museums and galleries across the United States and abroad. Featured on EcoArt Project Artist of the Week Series: "Our work involves a lot of mathematics, both in inspiration and process. Our father saw the world in numbers, and our work is both a nod to him as well as an expression of how we see the world as interconnected through patterns and geometry. Almost as if there's an underlying script of mathematics that ties everything together." - KX2
