From early childhood, I worried the creative nudges I was getting where coming from a source outside myself. By my teens, I figured I must either have a form of mental illness or an extraordinary gift. I didn't know which was more frightening. So I kept my creative life secret. I knew to 'document' everything in the veiled languages of art and music, though, so I'd have an effective and beautiful way to tell my story when the right time came. When I turned 30, I dipped my toe in quietly with my first solo show (far from family & friends!) at Barcelona's Quatre Gats, the venue of Picasso's first exhibitions. People understood! Since then, I've been working on what will be a "multi-media codex", a single work that combines the art, music and writing that I hope will do justice to what I've experienced. On the "eco" front, I've received the United Nations UNDP Gold Award for Outstanding Service in the Interest of Public Service, among over 50 other international awards for creativity.
